Featured on Rock My Wedding // Rich, deep colours of autumn fill this alternative wedding at The Barn at Willerby with awesomeness.

Emily & Jon contacted me a long time ago with a cool idea - they were going to elope and marry secretly and then have a hand fasting ceremony with their family and friends later on. As it happened, they ended up buying a house and so pushed the wedding back to October, but, as they couldn't move their registry office date they chose to get married and keep it a secret!

You can see that wedding here. Strap yourself in, cuz this blog is a biggie!

If you haven't got it yet, this couple is cool af and that sense of style, reflected in their attire, also shines through all other aspects of their wedding.

We started at Emily & Jon's house. It was filled with sweet art work, happy memories and bold colours and print. Emily's squad and her daughter were there getting themselves ready for the day. We then jumped over to Jon who was at his Father-in-law's place.

Styling.

Some of the best suppliers in the local area were selected to bring Emily & Jon's wedding to a reality. From the stationary to the dressing, to the flowers it all worked so beautifully together. Did I forget to mention the temporary tattoo station and the most epic looking biscuits!?

The ceremony & beyond.

This was delivered by Emily's best friend and it was fantastic. I love hand fasting ceremonies as they are so personal to the couple - the fact that Emily and Jon were already legally married meant they could do what they wanted and it's always nice when guests can watch their friends get married with a beer too!

Portraits & Dancing

Emily and Jon had worked with me before and they knew that they wanted some more stylish portraits in their wedding get up. So that's what we did. Fifteen minutes was all it took to get some epic couples' shots. Post meal, first dance and dancing ensued. Special note must go to their daughter, who got carried away with the temporary tattoos and put one on her forehead before the first dance!

It was an absolutely incredible day to be a part of and I captured some of my favourite images.
